Troy Wright, CEO, Founder of Lendified Inc.
Troy is a globally recognized leader and trusted industry expert with a proven 30-year-plus track record in the financial services industry. During his career, Troy has met with thousands of companies across Canada and developed a detailed understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by business owners in this country. In his current role as CEO of Lendified, he oversees the vision, strategic direction, risk management and leadership of the company.
Prior to Lendified, Troy was the President and CEO of the Scotiabank Group Mexico, the largest subsidiary of Scotiabank outside of Canada. Previously, he was Executive Vice President, Canadian Retail Branches and Channels at Scotiabank, overseeing all retail and commercial risk management processes, compliance and regulatory risks.
Troy has lived and worked in several international locations and is multi-lingual. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Program; Western University with a BA; and, the Harvard Business School YPO Presidents` Program.
Jeff Dennis, Entrepreneur in Residence at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP
Jeff is a Canadian serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, public speaker, and public company director. He is currently the Entrepreneur in Residence at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, a Toronto, Ontario based international law firm; and a trusted advisor to fast-growth companies in their quest to reach the next level.
He was the founder of Cale Financial Corporation, a private merchant bank and limited market dealer. With Cale, Jeff is involved in start-ups, acquisitions and financings for numerous businesses, in industries as varied as real estate, hospitality, film and television production, insurance, franchising, high technology, alternative energy, investment management, incentive marketing and employee motivation.
Jeff is currently Chairman of the Eminence Capital Group, who are serial founders of Capital Pool Companies under the Toronto Venture Exchange’s Capital Pool Companies Program.
Jeff was a co-founder of the Toronto Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, now called the Entrepreneurs Organization. Over the years, he has served Entrepreneurs Organization in many leadership capacities at the local and international level.
Josipa Petrunic, Executive Director & CEO, CUTRIC
Josipa G. Petrunic is the Executive Director & CEO of the newly established Canadian Urban Transit Research & Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC). Dr. Petrunic also serves as the Lead Researcher in electric vehicle policy studies at McMaster University. She is currently leading the completion of an Ontario Electric Vehicle Technology Roadmap funded by a federal Automotive Partnership Canada (APC) grant and slated for publication in 2016.
Dr. Petrunic lectures in Globalization Studies at McMaster University as part of the Institute for Globalization. She completed her PhD in the History of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) after completing a Master’s of Science in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at the same institution. Before pursuing graduate studies, Dr. Petrunic worked as an intern journalist at the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star and Edmonton Journal.
